Why tiles?

In the kitchen hygiene is important. Tiles can be easily cleaned and wiped over – anti bacterial grouts add further peace of mind.

On the floor tiles are hard wearing and will stand the test of time – riven tiles will give better slip resistance if required.

Rustic charm

For the country cottage feel choose tiles with a rustic or wavy edge to them. Use the same style for both the walls and the floors. Tiling on a 45 degree angle will give the room a rustic feel. Use more than one colour in a harlequin pattern choosing your accent colours with care can give a dramatic feel to the room.

Sleek modern lines

For the modern look simplicity is the key – straight lines and subtle colours. Use bands of colour if required and tiles with a straight edge. Using larger format tiles in a landscape orientation will also give the modern feel to the room.
